The
builder diaries
I’ve fired every builder but one who has worked on
my house. Or they’ve fired me.
Today, the electrician fired me. He was our second electrician. The
first couldn’t be bothered to show up for five months, so we fired him.
The second, Mati was his name (call me for his last name, if you happen
to be interviewing electricians), called to say he wouldn’t be coming
around anymore, that he’d never really wanted to do the work in the
first place.

Euros and other currencies before people regained the senses.
Baltlantis asked its resident financial mind Arjan Arends for his
insight into the real cost of the EEK/Euro debacle.
